Synopsis
What is it like to be a foreigner in the most conservative city in the United States? In 2001, Brazilian director Fernanda Pessoa, at age 15, lives the experience of being a one-year exchange student in Mesa, Arizona, considered the most conservative city in the US. 15 years later – and two months before the election of Donald Trump – she returns to try to understand her experience there and conservative ideas on topics such as the Mexican border, country lifestyle, religiosity and patriotism.
